A CARLISLE man has been ordered to pay more than £300 by a court after admitting assaulting a police officer and being possession of a Class B drug.
David James Barlow, 43, assaulted PC Muir on September 18 and on the same day was found in possession of the drug amphetamine.
He admitted both charges before Carlisle's magistrates' court on Tuesday.
Barlow, of Bellgarth Gardens, which is just off Newtown Road, was fined £140, ordered to pay £50 compensation and to pay a £32 victim surcharge.
