MOTORISTS have been warned of a temporary road closure which will lead to a diversion for drivers.
The closure has been put in place to allow Cumbria Highways to carry highway improvement works.
The works are expected to start on October 16 with an approximate duration of three days.
The area affected is the A595 in the Whicham Valley from its junction with the A5093 for a distance of 2.7km in a north easterly direction.
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Highways bosses said a diversion will be in place on the unrestricted sections of the A595 and A5093.
