A 36-YEAR-OLD lorry driver has been arrested on suspicion of drug driving after a crash on the M6.
Police were called to the M6 northbound near J39 shortly after 11am yesterday (October 7).
The driver - a man from Motherwell - was arrested on suspicion of drug driving and released under investigation.
Following the incident, Highways England tweeted: "Lane 1 is closed on the M6 J39 (Shap A6) to J40 (Penrith A66) due to a collision.
"We are on scene and dealing. Please slow down and obey the signals. Thank you."
