A MAN has been told to pay nearly £200 after taking a bottle of wine from a Barrow supermarket.
Mark Martin appeared at South Cumbria Magistrates' Court in Barrow where he admitted stealing the alcoholic beverage from Tesco on Hindpool Road.
The incident happened on September 27.
The 51-year-old, of Low White Close, was fined £80 and told to pay £85 court costs and a £32 victim surcharge.
The money will be deducted from his benefits. No compensation order was made because the wine was recovered.
