THE Forum has three big nights of top quality entertainment coming up next week.

Celebrating 55 years since the release of her debut hit single Shout, Lulu's On Fire tour will see the Grammy-nominated 70-year old Scottish singing star play the Barrow venue on Friday, October 11.

On Fire will be packed full of Lulu's hits, such as The Man Who Sold The World, Relight My Fire, To Sir With Love and, of course, Shout.

Lulu shot to fame at the age of 15 with her version of the Isley Brothers', Shout which became her signature tune. Early successes included representing the UK at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1969 with her song Boom Bang-A-Bang, which was the joint winner, and in 1974 she covered David Bowie's The Man Who Sold the World and Watch That Man.

On the Saturday, October 12, it's the turn of Bay City Roller Les McKeown, who is back on tour, bringing his award-winning Rollertastic show to The Forum. Les McKeown’s Bay City Rollers promises to be a unique voyage back to the 1970s, when Les and the rollers ruled the world’s pop charts and their music became the soundtrack for a generation of teenagers.

Meanwhile, next Thursday, October 10, The Forum opens its doors for An Evening of Eric and Ern, with Ian Ashpitel and Jonty Stephens, performing a brilliant homage to one of the finest double acts that ever graced the world of entertainment: Morecambe and Wise.

The show is brimming with renditions of the side-splitting pairs famous comedy sketches, including one of the most memorable of all magic moments on prime-time television, featuring great pianist and composer Andre Previn and Greig’s piano concerto and the exceptionally clever sketch that made 'Andrew Preview' into a household name.

The Forum's programming and marketing officer Joanne Marwood said that one of the great things about the venue is the varied programme of events on offer: "If you love Morecambe and Wise, An Evening of Eric and Ern is just for you, a great homage to the comedy duo. Returning to the Forum for the third time is Lulu; if you haven’t see Lulu live, you’re in for a treat as she is a remarkable performer. The Saturday night is party night with Les McKeown’s Bay City Rollers, so dig out your tartan scarves and dancing shoes for a journey back to the 70s."
