FOLLOWING its hugely successful Duncan Chisholm concert Furness Tradition next hosts one of the nation's most innovative folk acts.

Hannah James has been an unmatched force in her brand of music for nearly two decades.

A multi-faceted performer, her virtuosic talent spans all her four disciplines: singer, accordionist, composer and clog dancer.

She has amassed an international touring career and multiple award nominations.

In 2015, Hannah introduced her one-woman show, JigDoll, an immersive, unforgettable song and dance experience mixing cutting-edge looping technology with vocal, accordion and composition skill, all in all a multi-layered soundscape, providing the backdrop for Hannah’s spellbinding fusion of traditional and wholly original dance.

On Thursday, October 17 (7.30pm) Hannah brings her acclaimed JigDoll Ensemble to Ulverston's Coronation Hall.

Hannah's JigDoll Ensemble features three masters of their instrument: percussionist András Des of Hungary, Scottish fiddle player Kate Young and bassist Marti Tarn from Estonia, all of whom perfectly articulate Hannah's visionary ideas for song, tune and dance.

The superb line up made a huge impact when they debuted at the English Folk Expo, apparently gaining an standing ovation from distinguished folk industry professionals from around the globe.

Come November 28, Furness Tradition presents another top act at the Coro: the award-winning mix of contemporary fiddle players, piano and guitar in Blazin' Fiddles.
