Mail readers have their say on a new statue to mark the deaths of 11 babies and one mum at FGH.
Samantha Wright As one of the mums I would like to thank the students and people all involved in organising this. Personally it is heartwarming to know people still think of our loss and wanted to do something to show us everyone cares and remembers
Ash Babaloo Maitland-Athersmith I'm glad their doing something to keep their lives alive. I've had 2 in there, 1st one was traumatic but 2nd one (20weeks ago) I'm so grateful for them.
Lesley Wasquayle Howarth Thank you darling for your kind words . Love you xxx
Kirsty Jepson My daughter was born there in 2006 and I was extremely lucky to have them spot that she had strep B and she was treated ASAP. I feel even luckier knowing these kind of failings were going on. It's scary to think so many have been failed and so many lives have been lost. My deepest sympathy to all the families affected by these tragedies
Lauren Cher Ashton I don’t know how I feel about this. Being so close to one of the cases. It has brought memories back and a tear to my eye. But it shouldn’t have to be there
Kirstene Johns My mam works in there and I'm proud of the work she does, I hope you are lucky enough to be in her care while having your babies. There is no better person to comfort you
