A COMEDY skit filmed on a press trip to Hungary saw a Furness comedienne rubbing shoulders with one of Hollywood's biggest stars.

Sophie Cowin, 28, was invited to Budapest for the upcoming blockbuster Gemini Man.

Whilst there, she and her friend and fellow actress Jahannah James got the chance to meet Hollywood superstar Will Smith, who is starring in the film.

The two had been filming skits as two of their favourite characters, American tourists Bev and Sue.

The shell shocked a-lister played along with the duo as bemused tourists watched on.

Sophie said: “It was just really funny to film and he was the nicest guy.

“He totally got what we were trying to do.

“He was so cool about the whole thing and was so nice.

“He’s everything you could imagine he would be.”

She grew up in Furness, attending Dowdales School in Dalton before going to Barrow Sixth Form College, then drama school.

She has spent the last seven years living and working in London, filming short comedy skits online.

She met Jahannah two and a half years ago and the pair began filming skits together.

They came up with the characters of Bev and Sue around a year ago and have since taken the duo act to a variety of countries, filming in cities including Miami, New York and London.

Sophie said: “I love doing improvisation.

"I started making my own stuff and putting it online.

“We’d love Bev and Sue to have their own sketch show one day.

“Right now I’m writing my own comedy drama series and just having fun with all of it.”
