A LUXURY health and beauty clinic has received a ‘phenomenal’ response from the community after moving locations and expanding its treatment range.

The Health and Beauty Clinic, now based in Friars Lane, Barrow, has welcomed the next stage of its business in a new, more luxurious premises.

The property was previously featured on Homes Under the Hammer in June last year, after it was bought by semi-retired builder Bryn Clark and his wife.

The property underwent a transformation, after which it was valued at more than double its original selling price.

The house was then purchased by Phil and Michelle Robinson, who wanted a new location for their beauty salon which they had set up more than 30 years ago.

Mr Robinson, who co-manages the business, said the team pride themselves on being one of the leading salons in Cumbria.

“We’ve underwent a huge expansion,” he said.

“We now have various spa rooms offering couples massages and cutting-edge hair removal treatments.

“Our interior design and decor has completely changed too.”

Mr Robinson said the response among their clients has been ‘absolutely phenomenal’.

“All the customers have been blown away by the style and ambience of the clinic,” he said.

“The design has completely changed, we wanted it to be as welcoming and open as possible.

“The response has been absolutely phenomenal.”

As well as improving clients’ appearances, the salon also transforms the clients’ confidence and self-esteem, says Mr Robinson.

“We’ve had ladies come into the salon with severe skin problems and chronic acne so to be able to help them in some way is so rewarding for us,” he said.

Mr Robinson also noticed a rise in male clients entering the salon.

“We’re definitely seeing a lot more men than we used to,” he said.

“As a man in a predominantly female industry, I think it’s fantastic to see these gender barriers being broken.

“The salon is open to both men and women to come in.”
