FOLLOWING the well attended launch of Rock Against Hate in June, the event is back bigger and better than the first.
The event will be held at The Newton Arms, Dalton, on Friday at 7:30pm.
There are sets from some of the area's best bands, from youngsters The Gazelles to crowd favourites Kings In Canoes and Majestic Beetlemac.
Dalton councillor Shaun Blezard said “There have been rises in hate crime and intolerance across the UK over the last few years and a few of us wanted to do something positive about the situation.
“Paul Kell from The Newton and local musician Bob Qazi got the rest of us involved and we put on a very successful event in June.
“ We want audiences to have fun and to be able to listen to great music in a safe environment.”
Rock Against Hate encourages the community to come together against intolerance.
