1 Trinity Church Centre will be holding a coffee morning in aid of Macmillan. The event will begin at 9:30am this Saturday and will end at 11:30am. People are invited to come for coffee, cake and a chat. Every penny paid will go towards Macmillan.

2 Walk Like A Man, the musical based on the incredible career of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, will be performing at The Coronation Hall this Saturday, starting at 7:30pm. The show is said to combine infectious personalities, amazing vocals, slick harmonies and even slicker dance moves to deliver a show full of energy and nostalgia. Tickets start from £21.

3 The Bay Charity Walk with John Murphy will be happening this Sunday. They will be leaving from Snab point at 8:30am. Adults are required to buy a ticket for £8 whereas children can participate for free. All proceeds will go towards the counselling of people with mental health issues who self-harm throughout Cumbria.

4 St Mary’s Hospice is hosting Born Survivor this Saturday. this tough and iconic obstacle course will test people to their limits. Not only will you have the amazing challenge of completing 30 military obstacles in all conditions, but everyone who completes this course gets a free T-shirt and medal as a memento of your day.

5 CancerCare North Lancashire and South Cumbria and Tri-Island Running are hosting the Rampside Rush 10k on Sunday. Registration is at Rampside Village Hall from 9am, and the run starts at 10am. The entry fee is £20, which includes a medal and t-shirt and participants were also asked to raise a minimum of £20 sponsorship each.

6 Parkrun host their weekly events in Barrow, Fell Foot, Ulverston and Millom on Saturday at 9am. Registration is free at www.parkrun.org.uk. Sunday will see the Junior Parkrun at Barrow, this too will start at 9am. The junior event is for runners between the age of 4-14 years old.

7 Saturday will see the final performance of 9 to 5 at The Forum. The show will start at 7:30pm, with tickets being £12, or £10 for concessions. The show has been put on by the Barrow Operatic and Dramatic Society.

8 The jazz/swing orchestra, The La’al Big Band, will be performing at Beggar’s Theatre in Millom on Saturday at 8pm. The show charts the development of big band music from its beginnings in the 20s & 30s to the current day.

9 Singer Gary Hall will be performing at the Newton Arms on Sunday, starting at 4pm and ending at 7pm. The event will be free so it is advised to get there early to secure yourself a seat. Gary has sold out shows all over the world, has gained amazing reviews, and boasts several album releases.
