A FURNESS village shop has reopened its doors after a long closure.
Ireleth Village Store, which is a part of a petrol station in Ireleth, has been closed to undergo a major refurbishment.
The attached petrol station now offers a 24-hour paid terminal as well as an entirely new layout within the store.
Managing director Jon Lewney said the renovations had been ‘a long time coming’ for the store.
“The refurbishment has definitely been in demand for the local community,” Mr Lewney said.
“I think the new changes are good for the area, good for the village and good for passing-through trade.
“It’s a quality convenience store for the public now.”
Changes have also been made to the petrol facilities.
“The oil tanks have been recommissioned and all apparatus have been renewed.”
