UNUSUAL: The discovery at Biggar Bank
A WALKER has called on Mail readers to help identify a discovery found on Walney.
The remains of what appears to be a large marine creature washed up on the beach at Biggar Bank over the weekend.
One walker said: "Can any readers put a name to this?
"The body has been savaged; you can see the facial area if you look closely."
It is not uncommon for remains to wash up on Walney.
Seals and porpoises have been discovered at Biggar Bank over the years given the beach's proximity to the deeper tidal currents.
