ULVERSTON Garden Society hailed its annual show as a success.
Treasurer Mary Barnes, who has not missed a show in 40 years, said standards were extremely high, with at least two of the competitors also showing their talents nationally. The child competitors have been described as 'out of this world, with great imagination'. Jim Athersmith was awarded overall best in show for his dahlias, with Oliver Atkinson as runner up with his Sweetcorn.
