POLICE have lifted a cordon put in place following a bomb scare.
Officers sealed off a stretch of Michaelson Road in Barrow yesterday after test shells were found in a building.
The cordon in place overnight in a stretch between Bridge Road and Michaelson Road has been lifted this morning.
Cumbria Police said: "The precautionary cordon placed by Police on a stretch of Michaelson Road, from Bridge Road to Hindpool Road, in Barrow, has been lifted as the incident has safely concluded."
Police said there called yesterday morning when a number of pieces of ordnance were found in a building.
