HERE at The Mail we are passionate as our readers about our animal friends.

In a bid to celebrate the joy our pet dogs, cats, rabbits, fish, hamsters, guinea pigs and reptiles bring to our lives we have launched Pets of the Week.

This is a dedicated space to nominate your four-legged friends or your cold blooded reptiles for the coveted title of The Mail’s Pet of the Week.

Vanessa Sims, The Mail’s editor, said: “There are very few things man loves more than his pets.

“Here at The Mail we are as passionate as you are about them. So let’s celebrate the together!”

This week's winners are: Izzy, the 14 year old boxer dog, who is loved very much by her owner Jen Matthews.

Izzy was able to over come cancer and is still enjoying walks everyday.

Klair Flint adopted Cinders the cat three years ago, they love her very much.

Buzz the rottweiler and Teddy the Yorkshire terrier couldn't be more different dogs. Their owner Nicola Henry said: "Buzz is the most loyal, well behaved, soft and loving dog you will ever find.

"Teddy the yorkie.....the complete opposite."

Lilly is an adventurous little cat and enjoys climbing all over the place.

Her owner Suzanne Steele talked about how her cat 'loves to get into everything'.
