AN investigation has been launched after a man kissed two teenage girls on the hands.
Police said they were hunting a man aged between 40 and 50 after he approached two girls of secondary school age and kissed them on the hands at the gates of Dalton Cemetery, off Newton Road.
It happened just before 4pm on September 4.
The man in question has been described by officer as 5ft 4in to 5ft 7ins and of average build.
He was also said to have scruffy grey hair and a grey beard.
Officers said he was wearing a blue puffa jacket, red trousers and brown shoes at the time.
Police have appealed to the public for information to help with their investigation.
In a statement, Cumbria Police said: "Anyone with information should call PC 2687 Thompson on 101, quoting log number 130 of the 5th September 2019."

Wendy Maddox, a Dalton councillor, expressed her bemusement at the incident.
The Dalton South member for Barrow Council, said: "I don't think anything like this has happened in Dalton before.
"I would ask anyone who has information to get in touch with the police."
