A CYCLIST has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after a crash in Barrow this evening.
Police and paramedics were called to Roose Road near to the Co-op to reports of a crash involving a male cyclist and a car.
The road remains blocked from the junction of Risedale Road to St Luke's Street.
A police spokesman said at the scene a man has been flown to Royal Preston Hospital with serious injuries, including to his head.
Anyone with information or who saw the crash should call 101 asking for PC 2240 from Barrow Police.
