To celebrate the major milestone, the staff are creating a memory board for their 50th Anniversary.
They are appealing for anyone who might have photos from over the years to take them in to the office of Lapstone House before the September 20.
They will also be hosting a garden party at the care home's new garden on September 21.
There will be a raffle and tombola as well as cakes and the chance to relive memories with others who spent time at the care home over the years.
