OFFICERS and members of the coastguard were called out following concerns towards a car on a beach.
Cumbria Police were first called at 3.40am today after concern that there was a Fiat car on the foreshore at Haverigg. Millom Coastguard were then called at 6.05am to assist and to help track down the owners of the vehicle.
A spokesperson from Millom Coastguard said: "After giving the two occupants, who were asleep, an early morning call followed by some safety advice, the vehicle was removed from the beach."
