MEETING: Bootle and District Swimming Club
AN extraordinary general meeting is set to take place after news a village’s swimming club is to be wound up.
The meeting, which will take place at Captain Shaw’s CoE School on September 17 starting at 7pm, will discuss the next stage of closing Bootle and District Swimming Club.
A proposal will be put to the meeting due to lack of success in raising sufficient funds for the replacement pool with no personnel to take on the major roles of the club.
A spokesperson said: “The swimming club will be wound up and funds distributed as previously decided by the committee.”
