A MEMBER of Furness Coastguard successfully completed his next stage in training.
Tony Murphy from Furness Coastguard passed his water rescue training this weekend.
Mr Murphy was joined other members of Arnside and Whitehaven Coastguard.
A spokesperson from Millom Coastguard said: "We were pleased to host a water rescue training day. The training was taken by our Senior Coastguard Operations Officers. The day consisted of dry training at Haverigg where they were taught lanyard operations and throwbag practice. It was good to meet colleagues from other stations in the area, and everyone agreed that it was an enjoyable, but wet, day."
