A WOMAN admitted she was an ‘idiot’ after pleading guilty to a charge of drunk and disorderly.
Sara Arnold, 30, of Parade Street, Barrow, appeared at South Cumbria Magistrates’ Court where she admitted to being drunk in a public place.
The incident occurred on August 9 in Hawke Street where she was arrested for being drunk, while causing disorderly behaviour.
Prosecutor Pam Ward told the court: “The defendant was shouting and swearing.
“She was seen being aggressive towards police, who were on scene.”
Reading a statement out in court, prosecutor Ms Ward said Arnold had been shouting:‘I haven’t got my phone’.
Arnold told the court: “I’m an idiot and I’m my own worst enemy.”
Arnold’s behaviour breached section 91(1) of the Criminal Justice Act 1967.
District Judge Gerald Chalk fined Arnold £40.
He also ordered her to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £32 and pay costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service, totalling £157.
Arnold will have to pay the full amount by September 25.
