'COLD water shock can be deadly.'
This is the message from Cumbria Police who have issued a warning reminding residents of the risks of cold water shock.
In a video released by Cumbria Police it states: "Cold water shock is a real threat in Cumbria when you fall in water below 15 degrees.
"You instinctively gasp for air increasing your chance of inhaling water. Instead relax and float. For 90 seconds to minimise the risks.
"Float to live."
