The hunt is on for a woman who allegedly attacked a primary school child.

Police are searching for a woman who allegedly hit a child in the face this weekend.

The incident in which a child, of primary school age, is believed to have been slapped across the face by a woman in her 40s, happened in Roanhead car park, Barrow, at 3pm, on Saturday August in 17.

Anyone who might have information about the incident should call PC 2648 on 101, email 101@cumbria.police.uk.
