A WOMAN appeared in court accused of damaging items in a town centre shop.
Amanda Jones, 52, appeared at South Cumbria Magistrates' Court, where she pleaded guilty to damaging a number of items at the Poundland store in Barrow's Dalton Road on July 11.
The court was told the damage amounted to a value of £6.
The defendant, of Tay Court in Barrow, was ordered to pay compensation of £6, fined £50 and told to pay a £32 victim surcharge and £85 in court costs.
