BARROW police took action on Friday working alongside the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) to increase road safety.
The collaberation was part of an operation to better manage traffic operations and reduce on-road offending.
The police carried out a joint traffic operation with the DVSA issuing four tickets traffic offences and four preliminary breath tests.
During the operation, one vehicle was uplifted for being in a dangerous condition and action was taken on five vehicles for tyre offences, and being over the maximum weight.
