FAMILIES from a Barrow estate were invited to the town hall for a special tour and a sneak peak at what goes on there.
Children and parents from Ormsgill enjoyed a tour of the historic Barrow Town Hall.
Ormsgill councillor Bill McEwan and Barrow mayor Kevin Hamilton spoke to them about what goes on at the council.
They got to see the items in the mayor’s parlour and also enjoyed learning about the council chamber.
The children also got to wear the majors chain and robe.
Councillor McEwan said: “Big well done to the volunteers who organised it all and got it going.
"Thanks to our mayor for hosting them.
"Also thanks to Michelle McAveeney from the county council for all her work and Simonetta Tiribocchi for all her work in putting our awesome Ormsgill events together.”
