CURRENT and former members of Wyke Wanderers FC are coming together to celebrate 50 years of the club with a special anniversary dinner.
The junior football club will host an evening of entertainment at The Bradford Hotel on Hall Ings, on Saturday, September 14. The event will feature comedian Gary Marshall and music from the International Party Band.
Club secretary Dave Ryan said: “This is an exciting year for us. We’re a lead partner in Bradford Council’s Wyke Sports Village project, soon to be built at the old Wyke Manor School site, thereby returning to our spiritual home after many years away.
“Tickets for the anniversary event are selling quite well, and it should be a quite a reunion for people.”
“We have provided football for many boys and girls in the South Bradford area and the wider community since 1969, so I’m sure many people have lots of memories of the club.”
Tickets for the event cost £30 per person, including a three-course meal. To buy tickets, or for more information about the club, call Dave on 07796 246335.
