A local community group has been raising money to support the life saving work done by the team at the RNLI’s Barrow station.
The Furness Amateur Radio Society are ardent supporters of the station and over recent years regularly broadcast from the station to raise money for the lifeboat, spreading the word about the charity to all of the UK and much of Europe.
This year over two weekends the group raised £650 for Barrow Lifeboat.
Bill Jenkins, Audrey Hannan, Les Bell and Dick Smith from the Society presented the cheque.
