IT was a case of enjoying the sun while it lasts at the beach this afternoon - ahead of heavy rain expected to reach South Cumbria in the early hours of tomorrow morning.
The beach car park at Silecroft, near Millom, was close to being full with more than 50 cars by 3pm.
Well over 100 walkers, sunbathers, swimmers and horse riders were enjoying the golden sands and in-coming tide.
