A MAN has been given a suspended sentence for a public order offence and smashing a car window.
Carl Anthony Dean, of Moorside in Flookburgh, pleaded guilty when he appeared at South Cumbria Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
The 42-year-old admitted using threatening or abusive words towards Malcolm Bentley in Grange on June 2.
He also destroyed a car window belonging to Mr Bentley on the same date.
Dean was given an eight-week jail sentence suspended for 12 months. He must also complete 40 hours of unpaid work, pay £85 costs, £75 compensation and a £115 surcharge.
