A SUDDEN downpour of heavy rain flooded a main road on Walney.
Black Butts Lane was left barely passable at noon on Tuesday after heavy showers.
Motorists were forced to tentatively and slowly inch along the road.
Black Butts Lane is one of the first to flood in heavy rain because of its proximity to sea level.
The Promenade, also on Walney, is often another to be among the first to be affected by flooding.
