A financial director of a well-known Cumbrian accountancy firm took part in a rugby tour of France.

Glenn Bond is a member of Barrow Masters Rugby League team, which is sponsored by Lamont Pridmore.

The financial director at Lamont Pridmore Asset and Wealth Management joined rugby players from the across the UK who belong to Masters teams – set up for players aged 35 and over who have retired from competitive rugby.

The 2019 Perpignan Tour celebrated the introduction of “nouveau rugby" to France more than 80 years ago.

Glenn said: "The games were played in perfect Masters spirit: smiles and fun everywhere.

"We had players from all across England including the captain of Hull and Eastmoor.

“Of course, it all ended in a draw with the exuberant home side showing us how to celebrate at the end of the game.”
