I am in my seventies and many people of my age would just like to see Bluebird run again on Coniston Water, as it is part of my boyhood memories.
Could I say please to the people of Coniston, to those in the Bluebird Project and to those people in the National Park to just get it done. It would give a great deal of pleasure to a certain generation who will not be around for much longer.
I have has spent the last ten years telling the Donald Campbell story to many organisations in Lancashire and Yorkshire and collecting donations, well in excess of £2, 000for the Bluebird Project at the Ruskin Museum and travelling hundreds of miles in the process.
Could you all please get on with bringing Bluebird back to Coniston before it is too late for many of us.
What good is Bluebird doing in a shed in Newcastle?
