FANS of engines will be in their element this weekend at the popular Cumbria Steam Gathering.
Some of the finest examples of preserved machinery and equipment featuring all aspects of items from a bygone age will be on show at Cark Airfield.
There will be craft exhibitions, a food hall, multiple trade stands and a wide selection of catering outlets.
It takes place on Saturday and Sunday between 9am and 7pm. Last entry is at 3pm.
The steam gathering started life 40 years ago when a small small group of steam engine enthusiasts met informally in an empty building at a garage in the village of Newby near Penrith.
