A WARNING has been issued about a potentially dangerous ceiling fan.
The Chartered Trading Standards Institute has urged anyone who has bought a WHOOSH Ceiling Fan from B&Q to stop using it immediately.
In some cases the blades of the fan may break while in use, which could cause injury, said the warning.
B&Q has almost 300 stores across the UK, including Barrow’s store on Cornmill Park Cornmill. The products have been on sale since 2008.
The similar Shek ceiling fan available since April 2018 is not affected.
A representative from B&Q said: “If you have one of these products, please stop using the fan function immediately and contact the helpline below for assistance.”
For more information call the UK helpline: 0300 303 4482.
Barrow’s store opens Monday to Friday 7am-9pm, Saturday 7am-8pm and Sunday 10am-4pm.
