DEPUTY mayor of Millom has revealed the council's vision to make the town's park fully accessible.

The news comes after the council's plans were passed to change the Park Pavillion in a cafe with a proposed for a new mixed-ability toilet.

Deputy mayor Ruth Peter said: "It's part of mayor Angela Dixon's vision to make the park fully accessible for the entire public, not just a select few.

"The pavilion is used to store sports equipment, but we want to transform it into somewhere people can relax and have warm food and a drink.

"We're also introducing CCTV."
