Lancashire police have appointed a new Deputy Chief Constable.
Taking over from Sunita Gamblin when she retires, Assistant Chief Constable, Terry Woods will take up the role in September.
ACC Terry Woods was appointed to his current role in July 2017 and had responsibility for policing services delivered in all Lancashire's territorial policing divisions and the control room at the police headquarters in Hutton.
He also leads nationally for the police service on onshore gas and oil exploration.
Since joining the police he has served on a number of Departments including Response, Road Policing & Motorway, Operational Support Unit, Child Sexual Exploitation Teams, Neighbourhood and Change Management.
He is also an accredited Strategic Firearms, CBRN, Public Order and Multi Agency Commander and has commanded many large scale operations over a number of years including firearms and counter terrorism operations, civil emergencies including flooding, demonstrations, football matches and security operations.
