Cumbria County Council is set to launch its latest campaign to encourage people considering adopting to take their first step.
It has introduced bookable appointments for prospective parents which can be booked online.
Councillor Anne Burns, cabinet member for children and family services, said: “Our experienced team are always ready to talk to people who are considering adopting, they’re here to help and there are more ways than ever before to get in touch.
"I’d encourage people who are thinking about adopting a child to take that first step and contact us.”
Cumbria County Council said it welcomed adopters regardless of age, marital status, gender, sexuality, disability or employment status and in most cases the process took between six and 12 months.
Any who would like to book an appointments can do so by visiting cumbria.gov.uk/adoption.
