A COUPLE are looking forward to the rest of their lives together after a beautiful wedding ceremony.

Ashley Jade Gribbin, 25, mechanical technician at Kimberly-Clark and Jordan David Miller, 27, maintenance team lead at Spirit Energy happily said "I do" amongst their closest family and friends.

The couple, from Newton-in-Furness, knew of each other for a while before they actually started their relationship through mutual friends.

Then in 2012 they ended up in the same class at Furness College studying their Higher National Certificate.

Ashley said: "Everyone in the college class used to go out together and then it ended up just being us two organising things and going out together.

"We have been together for six years now and he proposed to me on April fools day 2016 at The Belsfield - not realising it was April fools day, haha.

"He proposed after we had our meal and it was just us two, which was lovely."

Ashley said about their relationship that they are just the 'best of friends' and are 'always laughing together'. She also described Jordan as 'very chilled, which is good because I can be a bit of a hothead - haha'.

The couple have many things in common other than working in similar industries. Ashley said: "We are just transforming our second house together, which is something we really enjoy.

"He loves getting stuck in and doing whatever he can himself and I love picking things to put it all back together again.

"We also love our holidays and enjoy getting a few long weekends in Europe a year."

The couple then got married on Saturday July 6 2019 at The Belsfield Hotel.

They had both their ceremony and reception at The Belsfield.

Ashely said: "The day was absolutely amazing.

"It went better than we could have imagined, especially the weather - it just went by too fast.

75 of their closest family and friends joined them at the ceremony with another 70 joining in the celebration later on.

They had a sit-down meal, which Ashley said was 'really good and everyone else seemed to really enjoy the food too.'

On the evening they had a casino as well as a DJ to entertain all the guests.

The couple are now looking forward to their honeymoon.

Ashley said: "We fly on July 20 and will be travelling from San Francisco to Las Vegas over 19 days.

The couple are also looking forward to finishing of their house.

Ashley said: "We also have a bit of land with our new house and are getting 6 sheep, which I can’t wait for. Hopefully we will end up with a few more animals too."
