A MAN was arrested on suspicion of five traffic offences while driving.
On Monday, the 36-year-old male was arrested at around 5.15pm in Millom after allegedly driving through a red light, driving while using his mobile phone, driving under the influence of cocaine and cannabis, and driving without insurance.
The man was later released but remains under investigation.
Cumbria police confirmed the man was seen using his mobile phone while driving past a police station.
As well as remaining under investigation, the man was issued with a driving ticket.
Police urge homeowners in Millom if they see any suspicious driving to contact police on 101 and ask to speak to an officer from Cumbria police to speak to crime and safeguarding team.
