The A590 has reopened near Greenodd following a one-vehicle collision earlier this morning.
The incident involved a van and took place near Newby Bridge at 8.15am.
Barrow Police stated there had been an accident at Newby Bridge involving a van on its side, which caused the A590 to be totally blocked.
Police confirmed there were no injuries to driver of the van.
But closures were put in place while vehicle recovery was carried out.
Motorists are thanked for their patience.
