AN intrepid group of cyclists from Walney School are heading Coast to Coast to raise funds for a school programme.
This weekend staff from the school will be riding 179 miles from Walney Island to Whitby.
This challenging route features several thousand metres of hill climbing, including the notorious Tan Hill in North Yorkshire at 528m above sea level.
They are attempting the journey to raise funds for the development of an Outdoor Learning Programme for the students and the Island community in general.
They are hoping to raise at least £2,000.
Please contact the school on 01229 471528 to learn more about how to make a donation.
