POLICE have identified the south area of Barrow as a crime hotspot following a spate of crimes.
A map, released by Barrow Police yesterday evening, has shown 13 crimes between June 17 and June 30.
Of those it included six burglaries at residential properties, two thefts or unauthorised taking of motor vehicles, one burglary from a business or the community and four thefts from motor vehicles.
A police spokesperson said: “Barrow crime hotspots. This is Barrow south area and the locations of reported acquisitive crime between 17th and 30th June 2019.
“Cumbria has low crimes rates compared to other areas, but we all want to prevent more crime.
“Community awareness is a way of helping this.”
