POLICE have released a map identifying Barrow as a crime hotspot in south Cumbria.
The map, released by Barrow Police yesterday evening, shows the sharp contrast of crime between Barrow and the rest of south Cumbria between June 17 and June 30.
The information has been collected in regard to the amount of ‘acquisitive crimes’, which refers to incidents of theft, burglary etc.
A police spokesperson said: “This map gives you an idea of the demand facing the police across south Cumbria.
“As you can see Barrow is the hotspot in the south.
“We are working harder than ever to reduce it.”
