FIRST class music, theatre and more take centre stage at Vue Barrow as part of its Big Screen Events calendar.

Twenty years on since Westlife’s debut single hit the top of the charts, the band are back with a sell-out reunion tour that's being being screened live via satellite on Saturday, July 6, to the Barrow cinema. Broadcast live from Dublin’s iconic Croke Park stadium, Westlife: The Twenty Tour Live will see Shane, Kian, Mark and Nicky perform brand new music as well as all 14 of their UK number ones.

Staying with music, Andre Rieu’s annual hometown Maastricht concerts attract fans from across the world and are also one of the most popular Big Screen Events each year. The medieval town square is transformed into a spectacular backdrop for a wonderful evening of music and dance. Andre's 2019 Maastricht Concert, Shall We Dance, is screened at Vue on Saturday and Sunday, July 27-28.

Meanwhile, the latest National Theatre production to hit Vue screens is The Lehman Trilogy, featuring the story of a family and company who changed the world, told in three parts in the same evening.

Academy Award-winner Sam Mendes directs Simon Russell Beale, Adam Godley and Ben Miles, who play the Lehman brothers, their sons and grandsons.

The critically acclaimed, five-time Olivier-winning play, filmed at London’s West End, will be broadcast on Vue's big screen on Thursday, July 25, as part of National Theatre Live’s 10th birthday season.

Johnny Carr, Event Cinema manager at Vue UK and Ireland, said: "Our fantastic array of Big Screen Events continues into July, with some that are absolutely not to be missed for music and theatre fans."
