AN ALARM was sounding and a cordon in place at an entrance to BAE Systems.
Staff were being told not to enter the Bridge Road entrance and cars were also denied access.
One firefighter was seen exiting the building.
A spokesperson from BAE has since told The Mail that the incident was in relation to false activation of a fire alarm.
The cordon has since been removed and staff are now allowed to enter the building.
