A MAN has been told to pay hundreds of pounds in compensation after admitting assaulting a woman and damaging her property.
South Cumbria Magistrates Court was told Christopher Banaghan assaulted the woman during an incident on New Year's Eve 2018.
Banaghan also damaged property in the woman's home in Barrow, the court was told.
The 30-year-old, of St James Avenue in Paisley, Scotland, was ordered to pay £500 compensation, fined £230 and told to pay £115 in costs and a victim surcharge.
