IT was sunshine all round for this week's parkrunners, bringing in a crowd of partakers and volunteers.

Barrow parkrun was cancelled this week due to the carnival.

Millom parkrun, however, enjoyed a warm and humid morning for its 130th event.

The short grass and warmer temperatures brought out almost double the number of runners compared to last week.

It was celebrations all round as parkrun volunteer, Karen Hughes, celebrated her 100th stint with the team.

Congratulations were also given to Malcolm Howitt, Chloe Pinney, Heather Crow, Debbie Tyson, Philip Chapman, Annabel James, Rachel Gill, Wendy Craik and Gwen Ren who all achieved new personal bests times.

Out of the 43 participants, John Rodgers landed the coveted top spot in an impressive time of 21.09.

Lee Thompsett was not far behind in an equally admirable time of 21.59.

Third place was awarded to Philip Chapman who finished the course in 22.21.

Bethany Knowles was the women's champion this week, finishing in 23.52, followed by Hannah Pinney in 25.35 and Debbie Tyson in 26.54.

It was another great turn out for Ford parkrun this week as 124 eager participants took on the Ulverston course.

Andrew Dorrian was awarded first place in a time of 18.03, with Matthew Rooke following him in 19.10, whilst Cameron Bell landed the third spot in 20.03.

First time Ford parkrunner, Amy Singleton was the first woman home this week, achieving a time of 22.24.

Evie Corkill won the second spot in 23.13, followed by Sarah Bouffler in 24.15.

The sunshine brought 255 runners to Newby Bridge's parkrun this week.

Ollie Garrod landed the first spot in an impressive 16.25, followed by Michael Ainsworth in 17.14 and Jack Wright in 17.56.

Eleanor Knowles was the first woman home in 21.21, followed by Mia Heath in 22.17 and Alice Fellbaum in 22.28.

All four parkruns thank their team of volunteers who dedicate their time to the club each week.

Parkrun is completely open to all ages of any ability.
